Pujajangka-Piyirn School, Mulan - 25th Anniversary
Mulan
- Twenty Five Years Old An outstation, once known as Lake Gregory, became the
established home of traditional owners a short time before a school was
founded there, twenty five years ago. Sister Colleen, a Mercy Sister from
Maitland, moved in as the first principal. She had not much more than
a caravan and a bush shelter to work with, but the community and the school
prospered. The anniversary on the 7th June was attended by a host
of visitors including WA Catholic Education Office Director, Mr Ron Dullard
and Bishop Christopher Saunders, Bishop of Broome and the Kimberley. Photo: Bishop Christopher Saunders and CEO Director, Mr Ron Dullard admire the anniversary cake with Rebecca Johns, May Stundi, Anna Johns and Julie Anne Johns. |
