KCP Magazine Priests and Principals build ministry together The Priests of the Kimberley met before Easter with the Principals of Diocesan Catholic Schools. Joining them were Debra Sayce, Director of Religious Education for Western Australia and the Director of Catholic Education in Western Australia, Mr Ron Dullard. Representatives of the Catholic Education Office in Broome included the Regional Officer, Mrs Carol Geurts. Bishop Saunders addressed the gathering and welcomed people to the meeting held in the Kailis Room at Notre Dame Broome. A panel comprising of Father Matthew Digges (Chair), Father Bill Christy, Carol Geurts, Katrina van de Water and Dean Savoia, began an informative conversation about Mission and Evangelization. Later all those present broke into smaller work groups and addressed questions on the topic related to their ministry in Kimberley schools and Parishes. Mr Ron Dullard introduced two guests at the meeting, Anne Addicoat and Jane Bridges, from Catholic Education, Southern Region of Sydney, NSW. They outlined, in a presentation, a plan to build closer links between the Kimberley Mission and their office at the Southern Region. These ideas and others were shared and developed during a discussion which followed their Power Point presentation. The Bishop also expressed his thanks to Anne and Jane and their Regional Director from the Sydney Southern Region, Mr Mark Turkington. “The attendance of Anne and Jane today has been a profound beginning at building a great relationship between the Southern Region CEO and the Kimberley”, he said. “I thank Mr Mark Turkington for his generosity and willingness in promoting this vision which promises to be of mutual benefit to both regions.”
