Typical landscape of the East Kimberley captured perfectly by Rebecca Henggeler (Joint winner of our Front Cover Competition in 2009).

“I lift my eyes to the mountains:
Where is help to come from?
Help comes to me from Yahweh,
Who made heaven and earth.
Psalm 121: 1

Project Compassion Kimberley – Well done

Project Compassion in the Diocese of Broome was most successful this year. Our target figure was $21,263.00 and our actual was $23,875.45. I wish to thank all parishes and schools and other Catholic organizations, particularly those who gave significantly above their stated target figure. Remarkable among these were: Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish Broome, St Theresa’s Parish Balgo, Dampier Peninsula Parish and St John the Baptist Parish La Grange/Bidyadanga, together with St Joseph’s School Kununurra, Kurrurungku Catholic School Billiluna, St Mary’s College Broome and Wanalirri Catholic School Gibb River. My heartfelt gratitude goes out to those Parish Priests and Principals throughout the Kimberley who realize in their ministry the value in giving and the vital needs of those who are helped.
